As our valued patient, we at North Star Dentistry appreciate the trust you place in us and want to inform you about how we are addressing the corona virus (COVID-19) situation.
We are closely monitoring events in our local community and continuously updating our policies and protocols as a result of new information.
Please know that our office is following all recommended guidance from American Dental Association, CDC and Occupational Safety and Health Administration, including best practices for hygiene and infection control. We feel confident in our ability to continue seeing patients and providing quality dentistry with the highest standard of care.
In addition to our current and standard infection control practices, our team will be implementing the
following measures and screening procedures for both patients and the team members,
to ensure your health and safety.
We will ensure all team members are equipped with the Personal Protective Equipment required to protect both our patients and our team.
All patients need to consider these protocols prior to coming to our office:
-
All patients will be thoroughly screened by phone before their reserved appointment. The current protocol is to screen patients by questions regarding contact and exposure of COVID-19.
-
In compliance with the recommendations for public health, anyone with a cough or fever will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
-
Only 1 patient will be allowed in the waiting room at a time.
-
Before your appointment, you have the option to stay in your car instead of the waiting room until we’re ready to seat you in your personal operatory. Simply call us when you arrive, and we will let you know when we’re ready for you.
-
Please wear a face covering/ mask before entering our facility.
-
Upon entering North Star Dentistry, you will be asked to sanitize your hands.
-
At the beginning of every appointment, you will be asked to pre-rinse/ gargle with an antimicrobial mouth wash.
-
As much as we enjoy spending time with our patients during their dental visit, we ask that you respect social distancing requirements by avoiding contact with others such as hand-shaking, hugging, touching or sharing non-treatment related items. We ask that patients do not bring any outside food or drink items into the practice.
-
For better control of contact areas, all treatment plan presentations, payments, and future scheduling will be completed on the phone or while the patient is seated in the treatment area.
-
After every patient our team will complete a “disinfectant sweep” by disinfecting all door handles, desk areas and bathrooms with sanitizing wipes.
Thank you for your continued patience as we strive to serve and support you in the most excellent way.
You can be assured that safety measures at North Star Dentistry will continue to evolve as more
information develops. We are seeing patients for regular dental care taking all possible precautions in this new environment!
